Beware! Liomb on the prowl
'Tis the Ides of March. Beware!
Or not, that's probably fine, too.
The Ides of March is today, the 15th, halfway into the month. If March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb, then the Ides is some weird lion/lamb hybrid -- a liomb. That doesn't sound like something you really have to be wary of. Think of the noise such a beast would make. A mixture of a roar and a bleet is something you'd expect in a cartoon, or maybe a Nine Inch Nails song.
Rawrbaaaaah! Rawrbaaaaah!
Plus, how dangerous can something with a wool mane really be?
Incidentally, March isn't the only month with Ides. All of the other months have Ides, but since a Roman emperor wasn't stabbed to death on those other Ides, no one ever thinks of them. Come to think of it, not many people ever really think of March's Ides either. Everyone who I've told to "beware" today has given me the same blank look I got yesterday when I wished them a "Happy Pi Day."
But Flag Day, however, that's on everyone's calendar.
